As significant as it is to grow in our knowledge of God’s word and Spirit, consider what the Apostle Paul
wrote: “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a
clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have
a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
It is our joy and responsibility to take the things God has invested in us and sow them into the lives
of others. We are never more loving or godly than when we are
giving of our hearts and resources.
We encourage each member to eventually join at least one ministry team. This ensures that the church is
functioning to its fullest. It also serves the vital function of forcing us to stretch and grow as we care for
others. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
